  • 2010-02-04 14:49:48
    13UnemploymentComp_2_2(2) Developers only
  • Implemented UC allocation for UC reporters to go into 1) unemployed weeks, 2) weeks not in the labor force (NILF), 3) weeks part-time, and then finally 4) weeks full-time. Now AssignedWeeksUCReceived should never exceed PotentialBenefitWeeks. Also, undid version 2_1 changes. Added program rules to adjust regional participation. Also added monthly debug variables for assignment of reported UC.
  • 2010-02-12 15:56:47
    14UnemploymentComp_2_3(2) Developers only
  • Added a national-level program rule to set the probability of "good cause" separation. Fixed three bugs: 1) Sum of MonthlyUnemploymentComp now equals AssignedUCReceived (with some rounding error < $0.27; 2) Sum of MonthlyWeeksUnemploymentComp now equals AssignedWeeksUCReceived (with some rounding error < 0.001 weeks ); and 3) AssignedWeeksUCReceived does not exceed PotentialBenefitWeeks. Also, updated the weighted and unweighted counts in the comments of CUnemploymentCompParticipate::AllocateMonth lyUC and CUnemploymentCompParticipate::AllocateMonth lyUCReceiptForReporters.

  • Made modifications so that the program rule FACUnemploymentCompSupplementalPayment will impact both the baseline and alternative scenarios for both UC reporters and nonreporters. Changed the names of the two annual variables that have corresponding monthly variables from AssignedUCReceived and AssignedWeeksUCReceived to AnnualUnemploymentComp and AnnualWeeksUnemploymentComp. Made some modifications to the rounding procedures for maintaining consistency with values stored in baseline and alternative runs in the database.

  • This is the first released version of the UC Module. For a complete list of capabilities see the online TRIM3 documentation. Notes of updates from previous version: Rearranged the execution of the Simulate function so that all monetary eligibility vars are calculated for each individual. Created new variable list program rules for reading these baseline monetary eligibility rules in, in the event of Job Loss. Implemented an initial version of Method 3 for estimating monetary eligibility vars. Updated Table B2 to reflect those not eligible due to suspicious census allocations. Created variable list program rules and a program rule switch to force the use of Method 2 on those who have newly lost their job through Job Change. Finally, implemented a method of removing any actual TANF reporters from the pool of eligible nonreporter.

  • Added Table B3 to view the distribution of UC benefits throughout the year. Also renamed MotherID and FatherID variable list program rules to be ParentIDs, which is closer to how other modules receive this input. Made a change to the method determining whether UC was Census allocated (IsCensusAllocated) so that if the variable list program rule pAllocUnemploymentCompReceipt is not set by the analyst, the code doesn't attempt to use it. Fixed bug in how HQW, 2HQ and BPW were being estimated under "Method3."
  • 2010-04-22 11:12:43
    21UnemploymentComp_3_2(2) Developers only
